Transition and Healing

My little cozy cabin home is a comfortable warm haven. Full moon shadows dance on sparkly snow. Maya the cat curls up near the stove while temps outside dip below zero. The transition from autumn into winter included a rather intense personal journey for me.  I underwent major surgery a month ago. Each week I feel another layer of healing woven with vibrant strands of humility, patience, and gratitude. The raw ripe inner awareness revealed during an adventure of this nature gifted me with epiphanies and inspiration. I feel lucky.

Commissioned Carving

Last newsletter I mentioned the 2000 pound mesquite logs scheduled to arrive from Mexico. The logs arrived…but weren’t what I ordered.  View the “Devil Woman Saloon” video about the little fiasco. I am happy to report three new mesquite logs have been found in Texas. Video updates of the commissioned sculptures will be posted on my YouTube channel.

Another Buffalo Bronze Enters the World

Next week the latest bronze buffalo will be leaving the foundry. The talented team at Art Castings of Montana have been busy during the last six weeks casting the sculpture “Sojourn.”  Originally carved in black walnut, the delicate wood grain and detailed chisel marks are captured in the life-size buffalo bronze. I documented the extensive bronze casting process and will begin posting a series of videos on my YouTube channel. Stay tuned!

Season of Gratitude

Thanksgiving was especially grand this year. I am still basking in the glow of warmth radiating from feast, fest, and fun shared with loved ones, children and friends. I am full of gratitude for the pack of friends who took such good care of me before and after surgery. Well wishes and healing thoughts continue to sparkle from friends and fans all over. Thank-you!
